Mrs. White trained at Moody Bible Institute and the American Conservatory of Music in Chicago. While studying classical music and entering several competitions her first love continued to be church music. She played for several churches in the Chicago area as well as one of the preforming choirs at MBI. Mrs. White came to Piedmont in 1973 to head the piano department and also was involved as accompanist and children’s choir director at Calvary Baptist Church.

In 1982 Mrs. White married Larry White and they moved to Norfolk, VA. There they were a part of an exciting and growing music ministry at First Baptist Church of Norfolk. She accompanied, taught private piano, helped develop a kid’s choir program and was an active member of MTNA (a piano teacher’s national organization).

In 1994 Mr. and Mrs. White moved back to Winston Salem to rejoin the staff at Calvary Baptist Church and Mrs. White continued as an accompanist, children’s choir director and began as director of The Academy of Music and Arts of Calvary. In 2007 Mrs. White came back to now Piedmont International University to teach private piano. While challenging students to develop their knowledge and technical skills in classical music her goal is to apply all of this to help them become better church musicians and accompanists. Larry and Pat have 2 daughters, an Emergency Doctor in Nashville, TN, and a Singer/Church Musician in a large Evangelical Church on Long Island, NY.
