Shean Phillips completed an undergraduate degree in Bible with a Youth Ministry concentration from Piedmont International University in 1997. He went on to pastor in various roles (Associate, Family, Small Groups and Youth) until 2014. Shean received a graduate degree in Youth Ministry in 2006 and another one in Christian Education in 2007 both from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary in Lynchburg, VA. Shean currently serves as a professor at Piedmont International University where he teaches in the Alford School of Ministry and is the lead pastor at Vienna Baptist Church in Pfafftown, NC. Shean started in 2006 teaching at the university level. He is extremely passionate about family ministry and this passion is evident both inside and outside of the classroom. He wrote his doctoral dissertation on ministry to the family and has also incorporated family ministry into much of his philosophy and teaching about youth ministry.

Shean is a frequent speaker at youth rallies, camps, Christian school chapels, and various ministry training events including several over-seas. Shean enjoys playing basketball and riding bike with his children around Salem Lake. He also enjoys the local disc golf courses when the weather is nice. Shean currently resides in Winston Salem, NC with his wife Angie, two daughters and two sons. They enjoy spending time outdoors and in their FAM Cave (basement living/game room).
